He added that foreign investment in the sector should be utilized as per our need and for the same one-door policy should be implemented.
The Minister further said that the guidelines should be amended to make the monitoring system of the educational consultants effective. He added that it should be strongly implemented.
The concept paper aims to extend technical and vocational education and training system and for the purpose, regional balance, infrastructure development, ensuring quality, human resource development was essential.
Similarly, the paper stresses on the need to carry out field study of the quake-damaged school buildings for reconstruction, retrofitting, mapping among others and that should be student-and management-friendly.
These tasks should be completed within three years, it is stated. The paper further states that the school leaving certificate examination evaluation system would be converted into letter grading system from this academic year and text books from grade 1 to 5 would be printed in colour from 2074 BS.
It has been informed that a high-level national education commission would be formed for the Ministry of Education to provide necessary suggestions on the restructuring of administrative sectors under its subordinate bodies, for education management and increment of quality in education, reformation of education and formulation of new education policy as per the federal system.
It has been said that the concept paper would be implemented after broad consultations with stakeholders and political parties on the matter.
On the occasion, stakeholders complained about the issue of changing dual education policy for both community and private schools, the problems faced by the temporary government teachers and the failure to address issues of parents among others. RSS
