Nepali Cricket Team has defeated Free
Foresters Cricket Club in London on Friday by a comfortable 25 runs
margin during its ongoing practice matches concentering the T-20 world
cup.
Held at Neville ground in
Trent Bridge, Nepal playing its second practice match batted first made
158 runs with the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Skipper Paras Khadka made the highest 42
runs while Sagar Pun made 36, Pradip Giri 27. Sarad Veshwakar 13,
Bashanta Regmi was on 10 not out, Gyanendra Malla 5, Suvash Khakurel 2
and Sompaal Kami made 1 run.
With the target of 159 Foresters could only manage to make 134 in 19.4 overs with loss of all of its wickets.
For Nepal Sagar Pun, Sompaal Kami and
Shakti Gauchan took 2 wickets each while Jitendra Mukhiya and Basanta
Regmi shared 1 wicket each.
The match was organized by a Nepali businessman in London Prashanta Kunwar.
Nepal was beaten by Middlesex II on Thursday on its first practice match by 14 runs.
After done with playing matches in England Nepali team will move to Nedtherlands to play T-20 series on June 29.
Nepal will the Dutch team from 30th june to 3rd July.
